What people say about VBN...
"This is groundbreaking stuff. Administrating grant applications is an extraordinarily complex process, particularly where the funds available run into millions of pounds. This unique system enables a simple online registration, eligibility checking and application process enabling us to stay on top of thousands of applications and track their progress through the system.

We are also accountable to the EU and the system will allow us to report to them effectively and to track where funds are at any point in time. We will also be able to demonstrate a huge return on investment by massively reducing our administration costs. "

Steve Cargill, Project Officer, Lincolnshire Broadband Team on the Grant Administration System developed by VBN

EU Sixth Framework - Busy meeting submission deadlines?
Release date: 31 Mar 2003
While busily gathering your network of organisations and researchers and in shaping your JPA, have you had a chance to consider the communication network platform which is required to support interactive working between the research teams in your NoE - in essence the 'glue' of your network?

We are a well-established Cambridge company which is considered the leader in
e-community business and research web-based platforms. Our recent clients include Brunel, UCL, University of Bristol and Biotechnology Ireland and our products are ideal for managing and supporting interaction within an FP6 Network of Excellence.

The software provides a robust platform for:

§ the management of the flow of knowledge within the network
§ communication and information sharing within the network
§ dissemination of knowledge to a larger audience outside the network
§ overall co-ordination of the joint activities of the network

These points are all requirements within the 'degree of integration and joint programme of activities' evaluation criterion for NoEs which requires a threshold score of 4 out of 5 points.

We can assist you in two ways:

§ we can enhance the quality of your proposal by providing well written text, prepared by our FP6 expert, to demonstrate the value of our e-community software to your NoE and hence enabling your proposal to attract a high score

§ after funding for your NoE has been successfully secured, our software will provide a robust communication and information platform which integrates the activities of your NoE
