Growth
The issues during this stage
- sustainability - use your website to derive revenue or prove value to your sources of funding
- re-configuring - plan for continuous change
- growth - avoid all resource limits
The activities in this stage
You have successfully negotiated steps 1-3 and your Network is working well.
But you can't rest there! You should plan ahead to secure financial sustainability for your network.
You should also plan for change in all areas of your website.
Sustainability
Use the website to sell membership, tickets and other members services to derive revenue.
If you area funded organisation you should identify which statistics are key to continued funding and what the targets are.
Re-configuring
Take control of the structure of your website. Analyse what is working and what isn't.
Retire the disused areas and expand on the popular ones. Experiment with new ideas some may work, some may not.
Plan to refresh your site design every year or eighteen months - it shows you are still investing in the site.
Growth
Plan for growth in all areas - this may lead to constant site tuning to best display the volumes of content on offer.
As content grows so will the resources required to manage it. Plan to either increase resources or re-configure the
site to handle more of the information automatically.
